The KU campanile in winter

During Winter Recess, administrative and student services offices responsible for completing fall semester graduation checks, processing promotion and tenure files, and completing necessary operational and business functions will remain open either remotely or in person.

Most campus-wide offices on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses will be closed between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31. Eligible employees will receive paid leave without the need to use accrued leave.

A small number of units must still provide minimal or continuous service in person during this period. To facilitate changes across campus, it is important that unit directors report their office plans (e.g., closing, fully open, reduced staff, etc.) and any special needs during the Winter Recess.

This website provides information about how to manage the various aspects of Winter Recess.
